Thinking with Isaiah

When you read the prophet book of Isaiah, what comes to mind?
Most will quote Isaiah 41:10 which says,
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ NKJV
Isaiah was sending assurance to Israel that God is always there; "FEAR NOT." Isaiah was speaking for God, who breathed His words into Isaiah's mouth. "I AM With You", He is not just with the Israelites, He is GOD. Another chapter in Isaiah prophecies Jesus also named Emanuel which means in Hebrew, GOD with us.
Isn't that amazing? God is with us. He is here.
Why do people die? Why are there Homeless? Why is there famine, and war, and disease?
One word can answer all those questions.
SIN.
"Can't God just make it go away?"
Yes.
Who are we to question the Omincient Creator of the Earth and Universe? Who are we anyway?
HE DIDNT HAVE TO MAKE US!
He did though. He also made Lucifer (Satan).
But Why?
Our finite minds cannot comprehend God and His plan.
For many years I myself have struggled to understand His plan for me. "What do you want me to do?!"
It's so frustrating. God Himself tells us in scripture, "Fathers do not provoke your children unto anger." So why does is seem to contradict what he does to us?
Perception. It's how we perceive God that makes Him seem as if it's a contradiction.
In Star Wars Ben does a similar thing to Luke when he told him that Darth Vader killed his father. "Ben how can he be my father? You said he killed my father." Ben answered, "He did, from a certain point of view."
From a certain point of view, God is contradicting Himself. He is Holy, and Just, and Righteous, and can do no Evil.
Our comprehension of the way we think God should be, is holding Him to our standards. Who are you to put your standards on YHWH?
I heard a message that was started in this way; God doesn't need you!
Ouch....that stings a bit (a lot) In fact that makes Him (in our standards) seem unholy. So what does that mean? It means He still wants you. He cares for you. He wants your praise. He wants your love.
God created you, "He will never leave nor forsake you." God loves you, "HE sent His ONLY Son, to Die for you."
Remember these words from King David in Psalm 139:
If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” Even the night shall be light about me; Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You.
Psalms 139:9-12
