A Good Father

Everyone has a father or a father figure. Even if your dad wasn't part of your life you can look and see what a father should be. Today we live in a chaotic world where kids shows make fun of the dad, good dads are pushed aside, or some fathers don't want to be a part of their kids lives at all. The world in which we live is full of fatherless children and deadbeat dads. If this is you shame on you. We as Christians have a heavenly father that is always there for us in times of need, comfort, and failures. Whether you realize it or not fathers are a role model for their children. Even if you don't mean to be a "role model", you are. That means even if you aren't a part of you child's life you are still an example that they will surely follow. I have seen step-dads step up to show a better example to the children of their spouse when the real dad was not present. I commend you as in to say I applaud you. My brother-in-law is a prime example of this. Though we are still humans and make all kinds of mistake in life, God remains as the perfect being that is unchanging.

God tells us in the Bible that we are even allowed to call him Abba which translates as Daddy. "Daddy" is suppose to be a term of endearment from children toward their father. God bless you whoever you are and Peace go with you.
