Big Effort Low Results

Back in 2005, one of the best video platforms was created for online use. #YouTube I was introduced to "YouTube videos" by my friend RJ. He would start talking about something funny he watched and share it and I was intrigued. Then I asked one of the dumbest questions ever, according to my friends. "What's YouTube?" What they all failed to realize was, my family did not have internet. #ChannelHistory

So, intrigued as I was, I made and effort to be one of the cool kids and watch YouTube. I started out like most people did back in the mid 2000's; I started with Salad Fingers #saladfingers . Now you are going to go look up Salad Fingers videos. YouTube started out as a post home movies and hope somebody sees them. The funnier the video the more likes and subscriptions you would get. A few YouTubers made it so big, ad companies wanted to pay them to show ads on their videos. In 2008 I jumped in with both feet with my crappy new digital camera. Correction. I started out with an 8mm camera. Then I had to refilm every video using my digital camera and edit them on Windows Media Video Editor. I taught myself stop-motion and camera angles as well as writing scripts. Self taught, all of what I did. I was 17 years old and thought I would be the next "Fred" with my dumb videos. (You can look him up @Fred #fredonyoutube) I couldn't have been more incorrect. I posted every video I ever shot and got better each time I uploaded. Then YouTube got a bit more serious about their upload rules and how you may have been paid by ads. You use to be paid by the number of views your videos had also dependent on copyright. Copyright ruined me. There was nothing I had that didn't have at least one element of copyright attached. I even made a hyperspace effect using After Effects completely from scratch. But because it resembled somebody else's video I received the copyright strike. I then deleted all my videos that I didn't fully own everything in. Was I going to give up? I was completely out of ideas. Until, #minecraft. I loved Minecraft I played all the time. I looked up Minecraft videos and watched and learned. Almost 8 years of on and off failure in the YouTube game and I turned to the most popular game in the world. And it pulled me up. My videos got better, my content was consistent, and for a while I had a regular upload schedule. During my Minecraft YouTube I added 150 subscriptions over the next 6 years. This is the written history of my channel. The current number of subscriptions I have is low compared to others, but for me its the best that I have had on my channel. The reason for this low number isn't that my videos weren't "good", it is due to the complete restart I did half way through my channels age. I had 50 subscribers in my first few months making dumb videos that I thought were really cool. then I trashed the whole channel, renamed it, rebranded everything I did and then expected to grow the same way. Now I run 3 channels with a combined total of less than 300 subscribers #Dawjinc @Dawjinc #DawjincRed @DawjincRed and #thoughtswithdavid @DavidThoughts. Sorry for the plugin for subs LoL
